Indian Indices:
Indian benchmark indices are likely to open higher on Wednesday, tracking bullish cues from Nifty futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange and firm cues from global peers. SGX Nifty is up 123 points.
Key benchmark indices settled with modest gains as firmness in most global stocks supported gains on the domestic bourses. The barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex gained 100.62 points or 0.31% to settle at 32,607.34. The Nifty 50 index rose 22.85 points or 0.22% to settle at 10,207.70. Market gained for the second day in a row. GIC Re shares to list on bourses today.
Global Market:
• Dow soars 168 points to record close on earnings beats by Caterpillar, 3M
• Asian shares traded flat in early trade on Wednesday, while U.S. Treasury yields and the dollar got a lift following a report that Republican senators were leaning towards John Taylor to be the next Federal Reserve chief.
• Key data to watch in US : Durable Goods Orders, New Home Sales and EIA Petroleum Status Report

• BANK OF BARODA: Cabinet approved Rs 2.11 lakh crore PSU Banks' recapitalization plan for a two year period.
• KNR CONSTRUCTIONS: The government has approved the biggest highway construction plan so far in the country, to develop approximately 83,677 km of roads at an investment of Rs 6.92 lakh crore by 2022
Trend in FII flows: The FIIs were net buyers of Rs -1306.76 the cash segment on Tuesday while the DIIs were net sellers of Rs 592.28 as per the provisional figures.
