Despite yesterday's pull-back rally of 13 paise, the spot rupee started the day lower by 10 paise at 66.86 as against the US dollar, due to fresh demand in US currency.
The domestic currency, however, trimmed early losses, and is now down only 5 paise at 66.82.
Meanwhile, rupee August futures are trading at 66.91 per dollar.
The counter has seen trades of around 1,13,086 contracts, while the open interest has decreased a percent on the NSE.
Compared to European- currency, the India rupee has declined 19 paise at 75.55.
