Tata Motors was trading lower by more than 1% on Monday’s early trading session. The company on Saturday had announced weaker global wholesales report for the month of May.
Tata Motors Group global wholesales in May 2017, including Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), were at 86,385 units, lower by 1%, over May 2016.
Global wholesales of all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range in May 2017 were at 28,310 units, lower by 13%, over May 2016.
Global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in May 2017 were at 58,075 units, higher by 6%, compared to May 2016.
Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover were 47,131 vehicles (JLR number for May 17 includes CJLR volumes of 6,806 units).
Jaguar wholesales for the month were 12,652 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the month were 34,479 vehicles.
Chery Jaguar Land Rover (CJLR) is a JV between JLR and Chery Automobiles and is an unconsolidated subsidiary for JLR.

Tata Motors Ltd is currently trading at Rs 462.45, down by Rs 4.75 or 1.02% from its previous closing of Rs 467.2 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs 467 and has touched a high and low of Rs 467 and Rs 459.65 respectively. So far 1248389(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 149699.42 crore.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 598.6 on 07-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs 417.1 on 08-May-2017. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 484.4 and Rs 453.6 respectively.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.73 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.71 % and 26.56 % respectively.
The stock is currently trading above its 200 DMA.
