Sensex trades lower in morning deals

Equity Market Updates

The market has started the day on a flat note on the back of profit taking after yesterday's sharp rally.
The BSE Sensex of opened with a gain of 40 points at 26,907.  So far, the BSE Sensitive index has hit a high at 26,926 and a low at 26,776.
Now, the 30-scrip index of the BSE has shed 57 points at 26,810. The NSE Nifty has declined 20 points at 8,218.
Among broader markets - the BSE Small-cap and the BSE Mid-cap indices have added 0.3-0.4 percent at 11,442 and 11,526, respectively.
