Despite surging 23 paise on Friday, the spot rupee turned negative this morning with a loss of 10 paise at 66.81, on the back of fresh demand in US dollar.
The domestic currency hit a low of 66.87, and is now down 12 paise at 66.83.
Meanwhile, rupee October futures are also down 11 paise at 66.92 per dollar.
The counter has seen trades of around 1,81,336 contracts, while the open interest has increased 0.5 percent on the NSE.
In the Euro-term, the Indian currency has pared early gains, but still up 7 paise at 73.43.
