Benchmark indices closed lower on Thursday after the US Federal Reserve's interest rate hike.
The 30-share BSE Sensex was down 129.91 points at 33,006.27 and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 47.20 points to 10,108.10.
About three shares declined for every share rising on the BSE.
Reliance Industries (up 1.5 percent) and HDFC Bank (up 1 percent) led the recovery. Vedanta, ONGC, Tata Motors and IndusInd Bank gained 1-2 percent.

The crucial resistance for Nifty spot is now seen at 10210 and above this 10300. Support for the immediate term is now placed at 10045 next support will be 9970.
