The Asian markets have started the week on a firm note, on the back of fresh buying.
The Shanghai Composite index is the major gainer, up around 2 percent at 2,984. The Hong Kong's Hang Seng index has also jumped 1.5 percent at 21,099.
The Japan's Nikkei and Singapore's Straits Times indices have advanced over 0.5 percent each at 15,794 and 2,862, respectively.
The Taiwan Weighted index has added 0.3 percent at 8,759.
