Maruti Suzuki India’s monthly sales for the month of November 2017 showed an overall volume growth of 14.1% as compared to November 2016.
The total domestic passenger vehicle sales increased by 14.3% to 1,44,297 units in November 2017. The compact vehicle segment under the passenger vehicles showed an impressive growth of 32.4% to 65,447 units. The compact segment of Maruti Suzuki has renowned models like Swift, Ritz, Celerio, Baleno, Dzire, and others.
The mid-size and mini segment of vehicles fell in volumes by 26.2% and 1.8% respectively in November 2017 as compared to the corresponding month of previous year.
The company also saw a drastic volume increase in domestic utility vehicles segment under by 34% to 23,072 units. This increase is backed by an increase in demand for Vitara Brezza, S-Cross, Ertiga and others.
The overall domestic sales under all categories grew by 15% to 1,45,300 units in November 2017 from 1,26,220 units in November 2016. The export sales remained stable as compared to the corresponding month of the previous year at 9,300 units.
The stock is trading at a price of Rs8,670, up by 0.80% or Rs70 on NSE at 10.35 am.
