Nifty trades flat around 10,200 level. Strong buying in metal sectors keep the indices stable in the green
At 11:56 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 32,599, up by 93 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,218 up by 32 points.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up by 0.29% at 16,194 whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up by 0.81% at 17,235.
ONGC, Tata Steel, Vedanta Ltd, Yes Bank and NTPC are among the gainers, whereas Tata Motors, Indusland Bank, Bosch, Sun Pharma, HCL and Tech Mahindra are losing steam on NSE.
Some buying has seen in Basic Materials, FMCG, Bank, Metal and Reality while Healthcare and Capital Goods show weakness on the BSE.
The INDIA VIX is down by 2.21% at 12.05.
Out of 1,971 stocks traded on the NSE, 1,042 advanced, 585 declined, and 346 remained unchanged today.
A total of 79 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 13 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
