Shares of Rallis India gained after Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund bought 17.81 lakh shares or 0.9% equity stake at Rs230 each.
The stock is currently trading at Rs244.5, up by Rs14.2 or 6.17% from its previous closing of Rs230.3 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs240 and has touched a high and low of Rs248 and Rs238.5 respectively.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.09% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.29% and 31.61% respectively.
Rallis India, a member of Tata group, is engaged in manufacturing and trading of pesticides, fertilizers and fine chemicals.
Its revenue mix consists of agri inputs (99%) and others (1%) in FY17. In FY16, Rallis India had acquired a majority stake in Metahelix.
